RIDLEY MOSLEY and MARTHA PETERSON
Our Mosley ancestry can be traced back to Ridley Mosley and wife, Martha Peterson Mosley. They were the parents of our Fluellen matriarch, Frances Mosley Fluellen.
Ridley and Martha were farmers who lived the majority of their lives in Hancock County, GA Ridley was born circa 1847 and died in Hancock County in 1916. Martha was born circa 1852 and died in MCDowell County, WVA in 1923 where she had been living with her daughter, Ella after Ridley's death.
According to the 1900 census Ridley and Martha had eight children. At least seven of the children survived well into adulthood. The oldest of their children was their daughter, Frances.
