Aunt Mamie's Gift
What I remember most about aunt Mamie was the softness of her voice. I always thought that it sounded so sweet. It was ever so pleasant. When I was a child it seemed to calm me on the inside. Perhaps because aunt Mamie always seemed to be so very calm, and so pleasant. Whenever I saw her I was always happy she was around. It made me feel good just to look at her and listen to her speak. I suppose Aunt Mamie had the same affect on most everyone. But, I always felt special when she spoke to me. She had a way about her that made you feel that important.

To be able to walk amongst and to lead many people with varying personalities and backgrounds on a regular basis while maintaining one's composure, dignity at all times; and to be able to calm them, make them feel good simply with the tone and the sincerity of your voice is definitely a God given gift.

I believe that God gives us all gifts but not the same ones to each of us. Just imagine what the world would be like if we all had been given Aunt Mamie's Gift.
